pinteresting!

pinterest has become my go-to site when i think of design inspirations for our soon-to-be home. there are just too many pretty things there worthy to be repinned -- to hoard all those ideas. i have created separate boards for each of the different areas of a home.

for the meantime, i am sharing here with you my room pegs :)

this room looks so cozy for me, i can sleep here all day. plus, the illusion of having windows with those curtains is such a brilliant idea. a great way of having big windows in a room, where in fact you only have those walls behind.

the modern minimalist in me. and the warm hues. the subtlety of this room design shouts how subdued i want my room to be, no frills and touch ups. just the sanctuary you enjoy in the comfort of your own room.

i love how pretty the lilac color brings to a home.

ever since i checked in at then microtel mactan in cebu a few years back, i have envisioned my room to have windows such as this where you can sit there and make muni-muni. how do you call this nga? i forgot how they term this..hehe

for more of it, follow me on pinterest!

Note: what happened to blogger? is it just me or the format has really changed that i cannot regulate the size of my pictures as well as where i want them placed in my post. huhuhu

the healthy way

i am on a healthy diet now. more than being conscious of my figure and weight, it is really more on the fitness and wellness it does to my body. being a wife and a mother now, and that feeling of being needed and depended by someone else, i guess i have reached the point where i just want to be relly well and healthy all the time. and oh, did i mention that the effects of what i used to eat before has taken its toll on me? at one dinner i had with college friends, i suddenly felt nauseous and as if my entire universe just made a 180 turn right before me. that sure activated my panic button.

that being said, meals are now the complete opposite of what i used to have before. this means i have to learn to resist the lechon, nilagang paa ng baboy, crispy pata, and the how-do-you-say-no-to-this-extra-katakamtakam-aligue ng alimango. in short, i have to deprive myself of my all-time favorites. dannggg!!! just the mention of those above gives me that drool, yet again. sigh. to add to that, i have regulated myself to eat only a small serving of rice, and to choose fish and veggies as viands (preferrably not fried). i have no problem with the latter though since i enjoy fish and vegetables.

on my second week now, i would say i have satisfactorily followed eveything i have imposed on myself. more often, i have been steaming my fish or having it in tinola. vegetables are also a staple everyday. and pork? well i didnt have them on my menu for weeks now. a pat on the shoulder moment for someone who used to enjoy eating every bit of 'taba'. i have also learned to limit myself with my rice intake, no more round 2! hehe

also introducing my new indulgence, organic herbal tea. the operative word here is organic. figure! im having peppermint for now. the cool, soothing effect of its flavors leaves you calm, relaxed and rejuvenated. parang galing ka ng spa :) this tea also gives me the much needed answers for my digestive discomfort i have long been experiencing.

i dont know how long i can keep this, but i intend to stick to it. no change will ever take place unless we become the change we want to see. this is surely not an easy choice for me, but with my motivation in place, i will succeed on this. and im claiming it!
