soundtrippin'

i just love this band! the irish artistry so purely resonates in the music they create. apart from the musicality of these four siblings and their ability to come together and play as a band with their instruments of specialization, the words of their songs are made with much sensitivity and vibrance.

living a life practically on my own where every time is "me time"..it affords me to ponder on things, explore my mind, and sometimes, having to deal things with passivity is just the most aptly move to do. but if all else fail, when my thoughts become so messed up and loneliness starts to eat me, i overwhelm myself with the music of THE CORRS. oohhh how much solace i find just listening to them.

an old fella in me? but hey! my generation's songs are now actually making it to MTV Classic and American Idol contestants are now singing it on their "year i was born" week :) if you make that a standard of how much years have gone by in your life, right, unarguably, call me that! but the corrs will always be one of my all-time favorite bands. so, let's have us a trip down memory lane to the years not so long ago and enjoy the music of the siblings andrea, sharon, caroline and jim, more popularly known as THE CORRS.

without discrediting the genius of michael stipe of REM who had this song originally, i don't know, maybe the rendition from a girl made me feel the whole meaning of the song -- the frailty and fragility of life. andrea showed so much passion singing here. and this song is my antidote when i start to feel tired and empty.

this has got to be my ultimate friendship song. i remember, glaiza and i always sing this everytime we hit the videoke! we would sing in duet, so aloud at that, especially on the chorus part. it feels a celebration and sealing the bond of uncompromising friendship and the reassuring fact that we'll always be at each other's side :) awwww!!!

the calmness of this song exudes the whole meaning of this song. its slow-paced melody allows you to reflect that there are actually no frontiers in our constant quest to realize the dream of our hearts. and the clarity of words in each line add to the genuineness of the song.

i love the happy vibe of the song! hola!!! despite the unfortunate story of what the girl has done to his boy, the song still has the upbeat sound that sets the wonderful energy the song. isn't it ironic, don't you think? :) and ohhh, i love the wind instrument being played in between. so alive and gay!!!

enjoy this track. the thing i love most with their music! how they incorporate the taps on the percussion, each pluck on the strings and the blow on wind instruments.. just sheer irish music! the merriment is so there!

songs above may not be your popular choices from the irish band, but along with all of their wonderfully created songs, each soothes the pleasure of our auditory. and im glad i was able to share my favorite cuts from them. how about you, what's your favorite the corrs song? :)
