happy meal

as  Adelle Davis puts it: eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper. yes, i do just that! for those who know me so well, they can attest at how serious i take my breakfast, it's like il starve for the rest of my life if i didn't have a full breakfast meal. it puzzles me how  most people would rather choose to skip it (either because they hurry on their way to work or deliberately not having it as a way to lose those extra pounds) when it should have been a staple, after your system feels famished with the long hours of not having anything at all.

having said that, it would be too much to state that i feast on breakfast. i am at my most happiest when i am in front of the breakfast table. i just love how foods we usually have for breakfast can be so varied, in tastes, texture, even in colors and how they actually look alike, yet perfectly match altogether. from omelet to sweetly-marinated pork tocinos, juicy hotdogs and sausages, to danggit and tuna, with fried rice or a fresh from the oven pan de sal, paired with your favorite juice, milk or your i-can-never-go-wrong-with-this cup of coffee, there are a hundred and one items out there ready to serve, errrr for your consumption, as you please.

i believe everything starts with a good breakfast meal. one can never have a clear mind and a positive vibe as good as those with filled stomachs. our thoughts define us, and what fuels the thoughts we make are the energy we have in our system, and we all know how we get the energy we have, don't we? with a contented stomach and a fueled brain, you have one happy and insightful kid right there --ready to face the day ahead and challenge the world!

and oooppsss for the record, breakfast buffet is the most awesome thing ever thought of! *wink*
